Phu Khe wooden handicraft village is located in Phu Khe commune, Tu Son town, Bac Ninh province, located 20 Km away from Hanoi. According to the elders, the village was established from the time An Duong Vuong built Co Loa citadel, and prospered until Ly Thai To's reign moved the capital to Thang Long. At that time, the demand for building palaces and citadels was very great, talented artisans from all over the world gathered in Phu Khe, gradually forming a famous carving village to this day. The tradition and custom of worshiping the ancestors of Phu Khe workers are not only grateful to the people who taught them the profession, but also strengthen the solidarity of the community, encouraging each other to maintain and develop the profession on the way of livelihood.

In the past 10 years, Phu Khe's wooden handicraft production has developed very strongly. The whole commune has more than 2,000 households (of which 22 have established businesses), most of which are engaged in traditional carpentry, manufacturing, and manufacturing household products and handicrafts related to many types of wood.

If in the product there are parts of carving or turning, the carvers or lathes should be assigned. Next, taper workers also have to coordinate with each other to officially assemble and complete the product with jobs such as: planing wood, scraping smooth, rolling curves, bends, fixing with (alcohol) , glue, paint). The final stage is given to Nguoi workers to beautify the product by polishing paper, varnishing or spraying paint. Phu Khe craft village is famous for its wooden handicraft products such as dragon carvings, worshiping items to household appliances, tables and chairs, wardrobes, etc. The products here are also loved and trusted by customers across the country not only because of their beautiful and delicate design but also their top-notch quality.
